It might be worth going to your local library and looking through back numbers of Golf magazines with articles on driver performance, for example, a recent Today’s Golfer issue had as best buy, a driver which retailed at circa £90. If it’s for your personal use, do what I do, I buy a driver on Ebay and if it doesn’t suit, re list it for sale. That way it costs me £20-£25 rather than lying in the garage! ” Big Bertha ” is the Calloway brand and every other club maker offers similar sized clubs. Look at the Golf catalogs and you will find Titleist, Cobra, Wilson, Ping, and lesser brands all offering similar product with excellent quality.
There are many ” cricket bat” size drivers on the market so why not call at your pro shop and try them all out for size and suitability.
