There are many ” cricket bat” size drivers on the market so why not call at your pro shop and try them all out for size and suitability.

” Big Bertha ” is the Calloway brand and every other club maker offers similar sized clubs. Look at the Golf catalogs and you will find Titleist, Cobra, Wilson, Ping, and lesser brands all offering similar product with excellent quality.

There are lots to choose from. Nearly all new drivers are 460 cc and are very similar in performance. It might be worth going to your local library and looking through back numbers of Golf magazines with articles on driver performance, for example, a recent Today’s Golfer issue had as best buy, a driver which retailed at circa £90. If it’s for your personal use, do what I do, I buy a driver on Ebay and if it doesn’t suit, re list it for sale. That way it costs me £20-£25 rather than lying in the garage! Personally, the Mizuno MX560 and the Cleveland Hi bore have suited best but so many variables come in, not least shaft flex and kick point. Good luck.

There are loads of alternatives to the Big bertha on the market these days. Each claiming to have so much science and technology making it better than the rest. However, the choice of driver still comes down to personal feel and confidence. Confidence can also (rightly or wrongly) come from launch monitor stats
Some of the better driving ranges actually have a golf shop as well. If you are lucky enough to be near one which sells second hand equipment, then they will quite often let you try a few clubs at the same time. Or you can perhaps tape up some new clubs. This way you can get a comparative feel for a club and also see how they perform against each other. It may then help to guide you towards choosing the right make of club. This can then be further narrowed down to the right loft and also shaft flex.

The maximum legal clubhead size is 460 cc, and yes there are many drivers on the market at or near this limit.
The best thing you can do is find a local proshop that will let you demo clubs. You need to find a driver that YOU like and feel comfortable with – no recommendation from a stranger on the internet is going to replace the comfort and confidence you’ll feel standing on the tee with the best driver for you in your hands.
Also, without knowing anything about your swing speed, age, skill level, or budget it is nearly impossible to recommend any specific models or brands.

anything big bertha are overpriced and the quality and the looks have really died of the past few years check out adamsgolf.com the insight from last year i think it was called the bul or the bty (adjustable weights) very close to quality and great price right now
