I’m thinking to spend approx $200. Is that possible to get a decent one? I saw a lot of them in the $350 range but wasn’t sure if I could find a good one for a bit less. Any suggestions from golfers out there?

I suggest
- looking in his golf bag and find out what brand of clubs he has. if they are a big name brand like Ping or Calaway buy the same brand Driver.
- I would have a chat with his golfing mates , i am sure they know what type of driver he would like
- if you cant pick a driver – get a gift certificate at the golf store
A solid choice would be a titliest 905T, i bought it last year for close to $400. I recently saw it a ***** Sporting Goods for $199. Plus it comes with a UST Proforce V2 shaft.
get a taylor made for sure! otherwise a nike
Either get him a $200 dollar gift certificate to a golf stor, or take him to the golf store and have him try out different ones. There are many different choices, so he should find one that works for him.
Get last year’s model…the Cleveland Launcher is great and should be reasonable
For around 200 you can get a nice Taylormade driver, the R580 from 3 yrs ago is nice as is the R5 Dual from 2 yrs ago. Try one of the following sites…
austads
edwin watts
***** sporting goods
Taylor Made R5. R7 is 350-399. R5 is a great driver and around the price range you are looking for.http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/i…
You can get a great deal on two great drivers at rockbottomgolf.com
I would recommend the TaylorMade r5 Dual (under $200) or the Nicklaus Air Max (under $100). Either one is a whole lot of bang for the buck!
I say get a Mizuno blue, which worked pretty good for me right now for my golf team. It’s about $150 at a local golf store.
PING G5. You cannot go wrong with this club. It is now being discounted because Ping just came out with a new model. However, it is one of the best drivers out on the market, and good for all types of golfers.
I hit a taylormade and I love it my son swear by his callaway,so both of them are great clubs,go to a pro shop, and ask the pro, make him an offer he come down you be surprise
The Nike Sasquatch is a great driver to hit.
The taylormade R7 is a good club but its expensive, you could probably find a good used on on EBay or something. But besides that you could look into Nike, King Cobra, Callaway, Titilist and other name brand clubs like that!!! Have a nice Day!!!
i have found out that in order to get a club that he really likes, you have to let him pick it out himself… I guess that every person is a little different. I would just get him a gift certificate to the pro shop…
