What Is The Best Overall Fairway Golf Club For Distance, Accuracy And Ease Of Use?
Posted by admin
I’m looking for people’s favorite fairway clubs, and seeing if 1 or 2 of them rise to the top. I just started golfing again after being away from the sport for at least 15 years.

I would say the Macgregor Mactec because it has cup-face technology which means that the whole clubface is the sweet spot. Also it is made out of titanium like a driver so it goes farther than all other fairway woods. It has a shallow face so it is easy to hit straight, high, and off any bad lies.
My personal favorite is the Callaway X wood because it makes a sweet sound and goes really far. Go to http://www.golfdigest.com/hotlist to see Golf Digest’s rankings of all the new clubs
has to be the perfect club try it out and u will know im right i just changed ur golfing life
The Cleveland Halo fairway wood.
I love my Taylormade r7 15 degree fairway wood w/ fujikura shaft.
I bomb it!
5-wood.
My custom made no name 3 wood.
Titleist 935 15&19 degree 3 and 5 woods. Hogan 2,3,&4 hybrids.
Orlimar Trimetal 15* is a pretty nice one.
The face is only about 3/4″ tall, but I don’t find hitting accurately hard, and with a nice wide stance and proper shoulder work it’s a very long club (for me) that I can hit off of hard or soft lies.
The best club I ever owned was a Bob Toski 7 wood. I could swing soft for about 130 yards or really bang it for close to 200 at times.I could keep it within 10 yards of target most of the time so it was very reliable and easy to hit. Unfortunatly, my car was stolen last year with all my clubs in the trunk. sob
The Calloway fairway woods are the best that I’ve found thus far. I find the 3, wood is great for the distance if you need 200 yds, the 5 wood at 175 and of course the 7 wood for that 150 yard shot to the green. Calloway has been my favorite for 8 years. I buy new woods every two years, just because I like the tech that comes with the Calloway upgrades. Most people with stay with their fairway woods for 6 years, but I like to spoil myself, because I love the game.
You question is player specific. Each person depending on his swing, club head speed, plane and path will hit different club better or worse than others. While a 14 degree 3 wood would go longer than a 19 degree hybrid the hybrid is easier to hit. Add more loft and the hybrid get even easier to hit than the 3 wood. A 19 degree hybrid will rival a 19 degree 5 wood for distance. I have fount the TaylorMade Dual rescue to be the best Hybrid for me and others who have hit were favourably impressed. I have 3 19-22 & 25 degrees. I am a 10 handicap and hit them 200-185 & 170 yards respectively. The 25 degree from the rough, faiway bunkers or the shor cut is awesome flying high and long while landing solftly. I can get a few extra yards on each by moving the club back a bit in my stance. I also love my Sonartec 3 wood but it is a club for the bettter player. Definitely use Hybrid’s to replace your low irons. Adams, Ping & Ben Hogan make excellent easy to hit Hybrids even if I prefer the TaylorMade.
