lol, a 180 degree wedge should do the trick
either a 60* lob wedge or a driver with a big face.
Sand and or pitching wedge.
The loft of the club makes it simple to keep the club face level.
8 iron. I have tried it and the 8 works best. I can’t bounc it as long as he does or between my legs but I can hit it out of the air.
Tiger used a five iron in the famous commercial. I like ot use the 9 iron. You don’t want to flat of a club if you want to hit it out of the air.
60° Lob Wedge. It’s almost flat, so you can keep the shaft straighter.
BUT…
Tiger wasn’t able to do this because he used the easiest club. He did it because he practiced. Don’t look for the easiest way to do something, learn to do it the right way.
I always use my lob wedge for this. While I have tried it with other clubs and had a little success, I’ve always found it easier with the lob wedge(60 degree). For one, the face it pretty much as flat as you can get. Also, the shaft is the shortest of all clubs, making it even easier to control it. As far as hitting it, I haven’t had any problems hitting it. I have tried all clubs, and again, I find it easier to hit the log wedge because of the short shaft. Just my opinion and what works best for me. Experiment yourself and see what is best for you.
Lob wedge 60 deg ro 58 deg. The reason is that they have a wide open angle and large face for you to hit a ball. Also, they have the shortest shaft lenght and easier to control.
Try it… it’s fun. My longest personal record is about 5 minutes.
I like using a sand wedge or a lob wedge.
