How To Stop Pushing The Ball?

Im a 8 handicap. lately ive been pushing the ball and when im saving it im pulling the ball so it looks like a pull cut (not a real fade). Its been kiling my distance. Any tips on how to work a release back into your swing, without strengthening your grip would be appreciated.

    Put your legs close together…about a foot apart, and either dry swings or hit balls that way. Swing or hit about 30 balls this way and do a normal swing, and the push should be gone!

    See if you are cupping your wrists at the top of the backswing.. This usually results in a open club face and a push.. The wrist needs to be flat at the top of the backswing..i.e not bent forward towards your head..but straight like an extension of your arm. This should help you square the club face better and automatically improve your swing path.

    Coordinate the arms with the body turn.If you are pushing the ball, arms are lagging, causing you to hit with an open club face.Cut down the back swing a mite. That should help.
