I dont like the idea of teeing the ball lower. Thats just putting a bandaid over a large wound. My guess is you’re not staying behind the properly and thus catching the ball at the bottom of your swing or on the downswing rather than slightly on the upswing. The golf club will bottom out at a point below your sternum. If your sternum is behind the ball the club will bottom out and catch the ball on the upswing. If you get ahead of the ball, now you’re catching the ball at the bottom on the downswing and thus high on the face. But obviously there could be 101 other reasons as well.
There could be many reasons why you are hitting above the sweet-spot. Tee position: If you are teeing the ball like you hit an iron, you should tee it more to the left. Ball teed too high: Most people thing that because you are hitting on an upswing with the driver that you have to tee it HIGH. Yes, a little higher, but not too high. If you are hitting the ball on your downswing or at the bottom of your swing, you are probably shifting sideways too much…..
Either have a pro/instructor look at your swing, or try out different things on the driving range and find what works for you. There are no ‘perfect’ swing or ‘perfect’ tee. It’s different for different folks.
Tee the ball a tad lower and make the same swing, the ball will now be where the sweet spot is.
All swing flaws are best cured by lessons from a teaching pro…..They will actually be able to see the cause of your problem and provide guidance to fixing them
Got to tweak your swing a tad, you can find some good tips in the source.
i havd the same prob….stand up strighter….rememner the 3 best ball strikers in the game had a dip
tee the ball lower
try to slightly bend your left knee…(if you’re a righty) it’ll help you stay down on the ball. hope it helps!
