My driving needs some work. Are there ways to help me make better and solid contact.
I dont use a 3 wood instead I use a hybrid. I can hit that about 175.
I usually never hit my 3 or 4 Irons but if I need to are there anything I can practice to hit those better. I hit my low irons (6-9) great. I just need to keep my head on the ball.
Are there any good practice tips for my short game?
Also how long should I practice my short game.
I am 14 so I cant go to the range every time I want so I just get stuck with the practice green.

Short game should occupy about 70% of your practice time…..thats where most folks leave a lot of strokes on the course. As to better contact? See a pro for a lesson or 2….it has always helped me when I am not getting good contact
Hi Corey,
PRACTICE. PRACTICE, PRACTICE the short game. Just try to make it FUN. Like all good players do, try to make every shot inside of 30 yards. Maybe one with a wedge, the next from the same place with an 8 iron. Open and closed faced shots, until you can get up and down from inside of a phone booth. Then try other ways to have fun with practice, play your buddies for dime, closest to the pin from anywhere around the green. And remember this, “amateurs teach amateurs to be amateurs”, so take some Junior clinics and group lessons.
Good luck and have FUN !!!!!!!!
If you are using a hybrid I would suggest trading your 3 iron for another hybrid, even some pros are doing that…anyhow, practice your short game as much as you swing, try setting up little games for yourself like a par 2 course on the practice gree, trying chipping it onto the green and one putting, the same for putting try a 9 hole par 2 course and write down your scores and try to improve.
Putting: Stand behind the ball and pick a spot 5 feet away from the ball on the line to the hole. Going over that spot 5 feet away will naturally take you close.
Take a wedge to an empty football field. Practice 40 – 60 metre / yard shots at a circle
Keep practising till you can get 6 out of 10 within 5 feet of your target
