This is a wide open question with far too many variables to answer directly. Some of these are: type of soil, type of grass, local climatic conditions, type of fertilizers used and frequency of application, frequency of mowing, height of cut turf, drainage, members’ expectations, etc. I’m sure you can probably think of a few others.

It depends on where you are, local topography, local weather conditions, the type of grasses planted on the course and how much and what type of wear the course gets.
