I Think I Want To Apply At The Golf Course. Possibly As A Cart Girl. Would It Be A Good Job?
I have looked into applying at a few places around here, and the places I did apply at I haven’t gotten any call backs yet. I am looking for my first job and I’m really thinking it might be a good idea to apply at the golf course across the street. Is that a good idea? I don’t really know what I could do there, but my boyfriend said I should apply to be a cart girl and just go around the course offering people drinks. It sounds pretty easy and he said I would get a lot of tips doing it. Would it be a good job? Could I get it without having any work experience, and are there any other positions I should apply for?

yes the beer cart girl makes a crazy amount of tips and really does not have to flirt or put up with much abuse. There is any easy out as you have a cart to leave in.
Go ahead, Why not. Advantages: SUN , TIPS, PEOPLE, RIDDING AROUND, “not on your feet” most of the time. and you’ll have FUN. Knew the CartGIRL in COLUMBIA, MO. She said it was a BLAST. you go girl, Oh, and don’t forget, you get a paycheck too!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well to serve drinks/alcohol in most states you must be atleast 18 and atleast 16 to drive a golf cart.
I was going to ask your age after reading this but I see you added that. Check to see if you can serve alchohol if you’re under 21. If you can then I think it would be a good experience for you. (1) it’s not physically hard. If you enjoy being outdoors then that’s a plus. And yes – you can make allot in tips. This is a job that at 18years old you do not need to have experience. Here’s what you need: dress nice -appropriate. The Golf club will have a dress code most likely. All you have to do is smile, be very polite and helpful. Here’s the most important part – you need to be very comfortable with yourself and don’t be shy. Your going to be around allot of drunk perverted old(er) men that will say stupid things to you. As long as this doesn’t bother you (and you shouldn’t let it) You can do very well. Again – be nice to everybody, even a little flittery and you can do well. Good luck! Let me know how you make out.
FYI: I’m curious to know why you think you did not hear back from the other places you applied to. – also where are you from -state/city??
Cute girls working food and drink service for tips is one of your best bets on a golf course.
