I’m 15 years old and I’m a 28 handicap
But I play in competitions with the adults and I never win but I always come runner-up, this is always down to the last hole. If I’m not in a competition i could be playing to the same standard as my brother. (He’s of 14-15)
Anyway, what I’m trying to ask is is there any good tips for a golf course that is on the course and has a lot of wind?
Or do you have any good tips for playing in competitions?

  1. Paul C Said,

Wind: – Grip down on the club and put the ball slightly further back in you stance, this should encourage a more penetrating ball flight.
As for golf competitions, just try and play your natural game, the fact that you are getting to the 18th still in contention means your basic game is getting there.
If I was you I would start concentrating on my game, really put the practice in and the rest should come naturally.

You should confine your playing to the 15 year old bracket and then concentrate on the part of the game where you have problems. As you solve the worst problem concentrate on the next worse, etc.If you play windy conditions learn to hit low balls under the wind. There are no secrets in this game, just much dedication and practice.

the more you play in competitions the less nervous you will be and you will get used to playing competitions and it will just feel normal after a while so just keep practicing
