Most mini golf holes have a trick to them which can be figured out. Sometimes the hole is as easy as a straight shot, other times it takes a bank shot to get around an obstacle.
It is important to put the right amount of speed on every shot, in case the ball doesnt go in the hole… then you should be left with an easy tap in.
Pick up a good putter that is the correct size, not all beat up… basically one that you can hit straight with. The “house” putters that most mini golf places have are well used – so try to find one that is in good shape.
Putting requires consistency – a nice pendulum motion straight back and thru the ball. Dont rush the shots, take your time.
grip your putter like you would an open tube of toothpaste…you don’t want to squeeze any toothpaste out…same thing applies here, too.
Practice, practice, and some more practice. Just remember it is about having fun! If your playing to win then Practice putting a ball in a straight line. Use the rails when needed on the course. The main thing in miniature golf is if you can hit the ball straight! The little missed short putts is what really adds to your score.
Use the angles….
Watch out for the windmill !!!! It is very deceptive !!!!
