ok well i guess you can say im athletic. im going to be a freshman in high school and my whole life i loved almost every sport i played. ive played soccer for a while tennis football basketball. my only problem is i would play it in gym or with my friends so i never really got like real professional training and techniques. i need to know what high school sport i should join that dosnt require years of experience to be good at. i was thinking basketball too but i hate the high school basketball formations and stuff. i also hate how they make you train for basketball. i really was going to join football but they don’t have it in my school. what do you think?

my high school sports include

Varsity Basketball
Junior Varsity Basketball
Varsity Baseball
Junior Varsity Baseball
Freshman Basketball
Soccer
Wrestling
Golf
Tennis
Volleyball
Cross-Country/Track
bowling

and my intramural sports are
football
basketball
softball

i dont get the whole intramural thing i guesse its jsut liek what you play in gym.

i am also a strong kid. im 5′10 and 200 pounds. im trying to get down to 160 while im in freshman year.

considering your body type…too bad your school doesn’t have football!

but most highschool sports don’t require anything.
you don’t have to have years of training OR experience. you gain all of that throughout the rest of your 4 years of highschool.

you should try out for wrestling. they teach you everything, and it’ll be good for your strength since they do weight training and stuff.

bowling is also fun and not too hard, and soccer and basketball has good comraderie.

i think you should try out for every sport you find interesting, and just see what happens! good luck.

In any competitive sport…you’re going to get regiments, and training. It’s unavoidable. Just join the sport you like the most. There’s no point if you don’t love the game. If a coach yells at you to get better at a sport you don’t care about…you’ll quit. If the same coach yells at you about a sport you love…you’re damn right you’re going to get better and show him off!

Personally basketball (PG and SG at your height), soccer, and tennis.

I'd suggest track. At least at my school, its a very open team. They accept all levels and the most important thing was to work hard. We were really good too. We went undefeated and won sectionals. Anyway, track is more relaxed because if you suck, no one cares because its more of an individual sport that happens to be scored as a team. We had a lot of kids who really just weren't good but were trying to get in shape and everyone respected that. And there are a lot of different options for you to try and see if you're good at.

Find another school that has some better sports that you can do . That list is very Basic . Not even good enough

  5. starkristina Said,

i would say track. Espically if your wanting to lose weight, because in track you will. Track is something you do for your self. So you don’t have to have expeirence, you are competing against yourself.

    Track or cross country.
